Mike grew up in St. Louis near the Hill and currently lives in Kirkwood. He attended Missouri State University in Springfield where he received a B. S. in Organizational Communications. He and his wife, Patty, have three children, Olivia, Isabella, and Julia. They have a four year old Golden Retriever named Holly. He is a member of St. Peters Parish in Kirkwood and is on the Executive Committee and is the Social Media Coordinator for the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, sporting events, and spending time with his family outdoors. He is looking forward to being able to help others through an extremely tough time in their lives, because he has experienced first hand the pain of loss when his brother, Scott was tragically killed in 2015 six months after the death of their mother. They have honored Scott's life with the creation of the Scott Knopfel Memorial Dine Out which benefits hospitality workers.
