I am sure you have heard this before, but feel the need to share with you how the Baue Team had an impact on a very difficult time in my life and my family’s. My Father passed away on February 12th. I was out of the country and had just seen him before I left. We do not know the cause of his death but it was unexpected and sudden. As you can imagine, being out of the country and not being able to be with him and then coming home to make arrangements for his funeral was devastating. We have always been very close.
The funeral director, with their gentle voice and caring manner made the appointment to make arrangements much less stressful. Their guidance was appreciated during this time. When we arrived to my father’s visitation on Sunday, I knew I would be seeing my father for the first time since he passed as well as the last. The Baue Team Members were there with an abundance of kindness to usher me and my siblings. We had shared with them that father had a love for Christmas that he instilled in us as well. My Mom died in 2015. My Father has not allowed us to take down his Christmas tree since she passed. He loved how the glowing lights made him feel. To our surprise, Baue had placed a small tree with lights and ornaments made of condolences from friends and family on your website near his casket. Somehow it made us feel more at peace that evening. When the priest could not attend to provide a short service at Jefferson Barracks, our funeral director was there to help us say goodbye. They read the poem, “ The Dash” by Linda Ellis which I will carry with me as a meaningful lesson as to how to live life. I’m not sure why they chose this particular poem but it was spot on for all of us.
I believe that the Baue staff has a gift and a calling to do the work they do.
Baue is making a difference in people’s lives through their compassionate and caring staff.
