Zachary Alan Bianchi

March 23, 1989 — April 26, 2019

On Friday, April 26, 2019, Zachary Alan Bianchi passed away unexpectedly. Beloved son of Mike and Michelle Bianchi; loving brother to his two sisters, Sydnie and Sammie Jo; treasured grandson to his maternal grandmother, Patricia (the late Gregory) Hatch, and his paternal grandparents, the late Nancy and Carl Bianchi. He is also survived by his adored Australian Shepherd-Beagle mix, Marley.

Zak had many interests. He loved the History Channel, video games, and computers, especially Nintendo64 Mario Kart and 007Goldeneye, and Playstation2 Grand Theft Auto. He could also be found playing online video games with friends for hours. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing kick ball and “kick the cone” outside with friends, and he had a Rad Board.  In high school he participated in roller hockey, football, swimming, and wrestling.

Zak was active in Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Rolla and did a lot of community service with them.  He then later graduated with a degree in criminal justice from SEMO, where he enjoyed family dinners with his sisters while attending there.

Zak was very technical and enjoyed working with his hands. He built his own computer/gaming server, and even built model cars as a little kid. He had a profound knowledge of cars that he gained on his own and repaired a couple of damaged cars all by himself.  He was always very curious as a child and loved to check out things, so it was always a wonder of what he got himself into.

Zak liked to spend time with friends and play cards. He loved to read, especially Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, Stephen King, Goosebumps, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Jack Reacher. His favorite movies were the Boone Dock Saints, Robin Hood, Star Wars, Fox and the Hound, and The Jungle Book, and his favorite TV show was Archer.

Zak had a great sense of humor and an uncanny way of getting out of housework; which he usually headed to the restroom and returned when everything was finished. However, he was an inspiration to others, as well as being a dedicated, helpful, and striving young man. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Zak was so very dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Zachary's name to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Brain Behavior Research Foundation, Treatment Advocacy Center, or Pike Lifeline, by the Jed Foundation.
