Yvonne Rankin

Yvonne Rachel Rankin, nee Davis passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26,2023 surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter.

Yvonne (Bunny) was born September 28, 1927, in Forest City, Iowa, to Ruthford Edmund and Rachel Lena Davis (nee Wortman)

On October 14th, 1947, she married her soul mate, Fain Middleton (Pete) Rankin Jr., at St. John Episcopal Church In Wichita Ks. Together they raised 3 boys and 2 girls. Pete’s career with the government took the family to Germany, back to the U.S where they lived in at least seven different states in the US. Yvonne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She was a strong soul, that was not afraid to live and enjoy life. That they did, she and Pete traveled to England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, took a train ride across half the US, and visited almost every state. She was married for 72 years. Yvonne’s family was her world.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband of 72-years.

Fain M. Rankin Jr., her parents, Ruthford and Rachel Davis, sister Barbara Jean Nichols.

Yvonne is survived by her children Martha Rachel Ring (nee Rankin), Paul Edmund Rankin, Susan Jean Herron (nee Rankin), John Fain Rankin, and James Middleton Rankin. Yvonne also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
