Yvonne Large

On Monday, August 29, 2022, Yvonne Janet Large a loving wife, mother of two, and grandmother, passed at the age of seventy-six.  She passed away peacefully in her home with her family.

Yvonne is preceded by her husband Charles R. Large. They were married on October 3, 1970. They were married for forty-nine years.

She is preceded by her parents, Joseph and Glenna Nesbitt of Arnold, Missouri.  Yvonne was survived by her two children Shanda Collins-Alexander and her husband Timothy Alexander from Merrillville, Indiana, and her son Charles Large and his wife Sharon Large from St. Charles, Missouri. She has five grandchildren whom she adored: Zachary, Brenden, and Jayna Collins, CJ and Jordyn Large. They were the light of her life. Yvonne enjoyed attending baseball games, swimming events, choir concerts, school awards ceremonies, picnics, along with any activities that were related to her grandchildren. Along with her children and grandchildren she was survived by her one brother David Nesbitt from Arnold, Missouri, and two sisters Deborah Skinner from Arnold, Missouri, and Paula Counts from Festus, Missouri along with many nieces and nephews.

An avid reader she earned her Associates degree from Miss Hickey’s Business School after graduating from Riverview High School in 1965. Yvonne worked in the insurance industry for over forty years assisting and supporting people.

Yvonne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved relaxing on the Black River and spending time with family at her Little Creek Cabin in Annapolis, Missouri. She loved reading, shopping, and sitting on the beach. Yvonne relished the time she spent with her friends. Her pleasure in life was enjoying coke and chocolate.
