Schuette, Wilma M. (nee Mound), age 85, asleep in Jesus Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Henry F. Schuette, Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Hulda (nee Hemsath) Mound, a brother, Melvin Mound, a sister Verna (nee Mound) Schuette and a son, Stephen (Barbara) Schuette. She is survived by a son, Robert (Sheila) Schuette, a daughter-in-law Barbara (Burkhalter) Schuette, two loving grandchildren, Paul and Jillian and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Wilma was born March 22, 1926 in St. Charles County and was a life-long member of St. John United Church of Christ. She graduated from St. Charles High in 1944 and after her marriage to Henry in 1946 she was his soul-mate and partner for more than 52 years in all their endeavors together. Some will remember the 'Henry's Grill' diner they operated together in the 1950's and Wilma's famous hamburgers and bean soup. Others will remember her from their shared time at St. Charles Insurance Agency or from their Main Street gift shop, First Capitol Trading Post. All who knew her could not help but love her for her warmth, her smile, her cakes and cookies, and her capacity to give and receive hugs, which knew no measure. The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the services of St. Charles Right At Home in-home care services, the many nurses and doctors at St. Joseph's hospital ICU, and the countless prayers from her friends, all of which meant so much during Wilma's final days. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ.
