Marie Miller (nee Henry), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at the age of 97. Cherished daughter of the late Wilhelmina and John Henry; devoted mother of Cora Butler, the late Micheal (Bronwyn-living) Miller, and the late Daniel Miller; loving grandmother of James Edward Miller; dear sister of Ida Mae (the late Dean) Ragsdale, Jerry (Myrna) Henry, and six sibling who also preceded her in death, three brothers, John Henry, Louis Henry, Eddie Henry, and three sisters, Pauline Jones, Betty Moss, and Susan Barnett; treasured aunt, friend, and relative to many.
Marie was a dedicated Sunday schoolteacher for 30 years whose life was marked by service, creativity, and deep faith. An avid quilter, she lovingly created more than 1,200 lap robes for patients undergoing cancer treatment, a testament to her generous spirit. Marie cherished time with her family and expressed her heart through words, writing more than 100 poems for special occasions, with one poem honored by publication in the National Library of Poetry. She was also a business owner, operating a beauty salon in the St. Charles area, and was known for her acerbic, quick-witted personality. Devoted to her church, in addition to teaching, she sang in the choir. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to her compassionate caregivers, especially Kathy, Dawn, Connie, and Haley, and to her beloved nurse practitioner, Melinda of Booneslick Medical Group. Marie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
