Wilma M. Biechler

Wilma M. Biechler, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in O’Fallon, Missouri. Her daughter, Judy and son-in-law, Ralph were with her.




Wilma Marie (Mitten) Biechler was born to Clarence and Kathryn (nee Easton) Mitten Sr. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 13, 1922. She traveled with her folks to Memphis, TN, Waukegan, IL, Danville, IL, Bakerville, WI and then to Marshfield, WI. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1940.

She married Victor Biechler, Sr. on February 15, 1941 in Pineville, LA. They lived in Kingston, LA until Vic was honorably discharged from the National Guard. They then moved back to Marshfield, WI. In 1942, they moved to Detroit, MI and after about 6 months they moved back to Marshfield. She moved to Dardenne Prairie, MO in 2015 where she lived with her daughter Judy and son-in-law, Ralph.

She worked at Figi’s, Marshfield Fair Store, Dr. Robert D. Taylor and the Marshfield Clinic from where she retired in 1984. She belonged to the Sacred Heart Church. She loved golfing, dancing, knitting, crocheting, flowers, and most of all, her family and home.

She is survived by her daughter Judith (Ralph) Jensen; daughter in law, Margaret Biechler; grandchildren, Diane Jensen, Jennifer (Dan) Nelson, Vicki (Gary) Sanguinett, Michael (Dawn) Biechler; great-grandchildren, Damian and Dane Nelson, Sofia and Catarina Sanguinett, Dylan and Brandon Biechler; a step-grandchild, Brittney; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor “Vic” Biechler Sr.; son, Victor “Butch” Biechler Jr.; sister, Doralee Melville; brother, Clarence Mitten, Jr.; sister, Marjorie Leona Braem; and sister-in-law, Dean Mitten.

A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne in Dardenne Prairie, MO on December 27, 2017 at 10 AM. Burial will take place at a later date in Marshfield, WI. The family is being served by Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, MO.
