William Joseph Stringer

William “Bill” Stringer, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Carol Stringer; beloved son of the late Lloyd and Thelma Stringer; devoted father of Doreen Clynes and Deanna (Todd) Greeves; cherished grandfather of Zac Clynes, Aaron Clynes, Jake Greeves, and Joey Greeves; dear brother of Jim (Barb) Stringer. Bill Preceded in death by his siblings Roley (Gloria) Stringer, Vera (Earl) Conrad Ray and (Marsha, survives) Stringer.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Ozark Airlines Silver Swallows. Bill enjoyed spending his time shooting, fishing, working on cars, and other projects. He was a jack of all trades who enjoyed helping others. Bill had a great love for airplanes, but he loved nothing more than his family.

Bill met his wife, Carol, in kindergarten and were married for 57 loving years. He was a family man who made sure his family was protected, devoting his life to his family. Bill enjoyed the time spent with his family and was very close to his grandkids and loved his dog Bitty. William was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in William's name to American Cancer Society or Vietnam Vets of America.
