William George Crawford Sr.

William George Crawford, Sr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of seven years to Alice Crawford, and first wife of 59 years, the late Beatrice Crawford; cherished son of the late George and Anna Crawford. Devoted father of Jeanine (Anthony, Sr.) Morris, Donna (Tom) Young, Janet (Gary) Schaub, and William (Amy) Crawford, Jr.; stepfather of Bonita (Chris Koehler) Leiber, Allen (Audrey) Leiber, and Karl (Angie) Leiber; 9 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and one on the way; dear brother of John (Ruth) Crawford. He is preceded in death by his brothers, George Crawford, Joe Crawford, and Frank Crawford; Bill was an uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Bill devoted over 40 years at Colonial Bakery, retiring at the age of 55 as superintendent of Alton, IL. Even after retiring, he never quit working, he had multiple jobs and side jobs and enjoyed working with people. Bill loved to spend time with his family and will be remembered for his caring heart and the ability to always make you smile with a good joke and lots of laughter. Bill was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Bill's name to BJC Hospice and Siteman Cancer Center.
