William “Bill” Russell Jones

William "Bill" Russell Jones, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” Kay Jones; father of Sherrie Smith-Harrison, Dana (Terry Oglesby) Fischer, Heather (Scott) Stoneburner, Nathan (Erin Bowen-Jones), Mary (Matt) Woodard, Stacy (Mike) Jones Larson; loving grandfather of Crystal, Tyler, Cyndi, Kristi, Hailey, Caleb, Bella, Emerson and great-grandfather of Sunny, Violet, Devon, Jaxon, Logan, Bryson, Dylan and Titus; dear brother of Mike (Maureen) Eastman; precious nephew of Margie Sohoney; many nieces and nephews.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Robert T. Jones and Adaline D. (Herschel “Red”) Eastman, his two son-in-laws, Scott Smith and Byron Harrison and his grandson, Robert.
William and his wife, Pat, married on September 24, 1977. William was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He was an active Boy Scout Leader & Scout Master for many years. Fishing, especially for Crappie and Bass, was one of his favorite hobbies. William was known for his famous fried egg breakfasts on Saturday mornings. He enjoyed gardening and loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and dance. He was a very involved grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. William was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in William’s name to Salvation Army or American Cancer Society.
