William "Bill" Joel Green

William “Bill” Joel Green, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 46 beautiful years to Belinda Kay Green; cherished son of the late Joel B. and Betty J. Green; devoted father of Stephanie Taksel and the late Matthew J. Green; loving grandfather of Max Taksel-Fukushima; dear brother of Stanley K. (Joan) Green, Kristie (Mark) Summers, and brother-in-law of Perry J. (Nancy) Bumpus; treasured nephew of Margye (the late Bob) Smith, Dottye (the late Bob) Wolf, and Ed (ErmaJean) Haas; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; Bill was also preceded in death by other aunts, uncles and relatives.

Bill was a devout man of faith, actively participating in four Bible study groups and his church, Church of the Shepherd. He was involved in numerous local and civic organizations, including Ministry to Men, and served on the Board of United Services. A member of the Bogey Hills Country Club where he loved to play golf, Bill was a wonderful mentor, known for his friendliness, engaging everyone he met with his warm smile and great sense of humor. He was humble, valuing integrity as a core principle. Bill's passion for fishing, gardening, and traveling took him to every continent except Antarctica. A devoted family man, he was a loving father and husband who proudly served in Vietnam. Bill was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
