Congleton, Willa (nee Hagood) of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late David Congleton; cherished daughter of the late William T. and Verdie Hagood; devoted mother of Don Ray (Kathy) Congleton, Glenda (Robert) Pace, and Jeffrey (Marsha) Congleton; loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 14; and dear sister of Thomas (Effie) Winford Hagood and Kennith Dean (Bronda) Hagood. Willa is preceded in death by her son Terry Congleton; and siblings Verellie Hagood, Marion (Betty) Hagood, and Glenda (Clarence) Baker.
Willa enjoyed reading and playing cards, especially Hand and Foot and Shang-Hai. Her grandchildren bestowed her the title of Shang-Hai Queen since she always won. Willa was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
