Wayne Dean White of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born to Ralph and Carrie White in Murphysburo, Ilinois.
Wayne was a devoted family man and respected in his community. He left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and generosity. A skilled tradesman and entrepreneur, Wayne was the proud proprietor of White Construction and Mechanical services. He specialized in electrical, heating and cooling, and carpentry services. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his commitment to serving others. Wayne retired from General Electric after 37 years and worked at Rockwell International at the airport, where he was a union boss and then the Maintenance Supervisor.
Wayne was an active member of the LAYMEN Ministry at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, where he lived out his faith through service and fellowship. Known for his warm heart and caring spirit, he brought comfort and kindness to everyone he encountered.
Outside of his work and ministry, Wayne found joy in catering and cooking. He was especially known for his delicious yeast rolls, peanut rolls, and homemade cheesecake, which were always made with love and shared generously.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife Vinnetta White; his children, Brian (Michelle)White (first marriage) and stepdaughter Susan (Dale) Endraske; loving grandchildren, Robert (Trina) Fischer, Sameul Fischer, Christopher (Lauren) Endraske, Dale Endraske, Eric (Jessie) Meier, Joshua Giddings, Abigail White, Rebekah (Jonathon) Mitts, and Jen (Chris) Bumeter; mother-in-law Jo Ann Williams; 15 treasured great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, previous wife Genevieve White, stepdaughter Robin Fischer, his brother and his sister.
Affectionately known by many as “75,” “HONEY BUNNY,” “FRANKIE,” “SNL,” and "TOO SWEET," Wayne touched countless lives with his compassion, humor, and unwavering support. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in Wayne's name to American Legion Post 313 or Laymen Ministry at Mercy Seat Baptist Church.
