Wayne R. Vaughan

Vaughan, Wayne R., of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the age of 63. Loving husband of 32 years to Betty C. Vaughan; devoted father of Kinzi Vaughan, Richard (Melissa) Vaughan, Douglas (Colleen) Vaughan, and Brendan (Jill) Vaughan; dear step-father of Jeramy (Amanda) Bergmann and the late James Bergmann; cherished grandfather of Shelbie, Delaney, Gavin, Christian, Nicholas, Victoria, Blake, and Bryianna Vaughan; and step-grandfather of Ethan, Isaac, Codey, and Corey Bergmann; dear brother of Diana (Bob) Mensendick, Carol (Tony) Becker, and Lola Vaughan; and dear son of the late Floyd and Helen Vaughan. Wayne was a true family man and deeply loved his family; he also had a true heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone. Wayne got into construction immediately after high school and was an accomplished carpenter for 45 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and brushing up on more history because he was such a history buff. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
