Wayne Brinley

Wayne Albert Brinley, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Tamara Brinley; cherished son of the late Albert and Fay Brinley; devoted father of Janet Kay (Sammy) Farrens, Teresa Ann Rinehart, Julie Marie Reeds and the late Richard Troy Reeds; loving grandfather of Erin (Truman) Bailey, Jesse Deatherage, Chasity (Miles) Gampher, Alyssa (Justin) Pax, Victoria (Keaton) Houchins, Jeremiah Rinehart, Kaleb Reeds, Jairyn Ramirez, Kasen Ramirez, Jaxon Ramirez and Londynn Willis; treasured great-grandfather of Oliver Bailey, Elton Bailey, Declen Bailey, Benji Pax, Sophia Ramirez, Amelia Smith and Baby Ezra Reeds; dear brother of Glenn (Judy) Brinley, the late Harold Brinley, the late Alma Pratt; brother-in-law of Brian Woodring, the late Steven Woodring and Jeffrey Woodring; Wayne is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wayne was a member of Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, and had previously been a member of Mineola Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church. He was also a past member of the Montgomery County Fire Department, among other organizations throughout the years, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club.

Wayne’s faith was very important to him. He was a Godly man whose love for his family was evident to everyone who knew him, especially his grandchildren. He always enjoyed saying, “If I knew grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first.”

He found great joy in farming and caring for his pigs, cows, and chickens. He especially loved his tractor, “Allis,” and spent many happy hours working on the farm. Over the years, he had several cats that he adored, and he loved nothing more than having one curled up on his lap while he sat in the garage.

Wayne cared deeply about people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He never met a stranger and would gladly talk to anyone. His kindness, generosity, faith, and genuine love for others touched the lives of many.

Wayne was dearly loved by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.

Memorials may be made in Wayne's name to Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association.

Wayne’s memorial service will be Tuesday September 29 at Mineola Baptist Church Mineola, MO 63361–5909. Visitation will be 3:30 to 5:00pm service at 5:00pm and dinner after service.

Celebration of Life will be held at Crossway Baptist Church 2900 Barnes Ave., Springfield, MO 65803 on Saturday October 3 visitation at 9:00am service at 10:00am.
