Waymon "Monty" Montgomery

Waymon “Monty” Montgomery, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Betty Montgomery; cherished son of the late Toy and Mattie Montgomery. Devoted father of Tom (Pam) Montgomery, Jane (Bill) Giles, Bob (Pam) Montgomery, and Ed (Laura) Montgomery; loving grandfather of Ashley (Dave) Sparks, Nicholas Montgomery, Alex Giles, Sam Giles, Kristin (Nic) Vivian, Austin Montgomery, Lucy Montgomery, and Livia Montgomery; treasured great-grandfather of Charlie Jean Vivian. 

Monty proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. As a dedicated military man, he and his beloved wife of 62 years traveled the world together, embracing the adventure of life as a military family. They shared a love for square dancing, golf, fishing, and taking train and bus trips. Monty had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor, always enjoying conversation and making those around him smile. A devoted sports fan, he especially loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Above all, Monty cherished spending time with his family, creating lasting memories with those he loved. He was a dear husband and a loving father who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
