Ballwin, Missouri

Warren Paige Thomas, Jr. a Christian, dedicated family man and compassionate, loving spouse passed away on May 7, 2026. Warren was the youngest of four children, born on March 23, 1966, in Richmond, Virgina to the loving union of Oleta and Warren Thomas, Sr. His family moved to the St. Louis area when Warren was five years old.

Warren was baptized at an early age and professed Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. His conversion of faith and spiritual walk began to grow and mature after his marriage to his wife Lee. He spent many hours in daily prayer for family and friends. One of his favorite activities was participating in his Kingdom Man Bible Study Group. He enjoyed the camaraderie of studying the Bible with fellow Christian men and understanding his role as a follower of Christ. Warren was an exemplary example of what it meant to be a godly husband, father and friend.

Warren achieved academic success and he remained a lifelong learner. He earned his high school diploma from Hazelwood Central High School where he played football and baseball. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri and a master’s in business administration from Lindenwood University. During his attendance in college, he met his wife, Lee Rozelle-Thomas.

Professionally Warren was employed by the City of St. Louis, Missouri, Department of Public Safety, in the capacity of Correctional Unit Manager. During his career he was promoted several times and was awarded the Mayor’s Service Award for his exemplary work ethic. Warren retired from the City of St. Louis after a 29-year tenure. Warren owned a business educating and coaching others in defensive driving, shoplifting and anger management. Warren assisted parolees with job placement and provided resources to help those in need to improve their lives.

Some of Warren’s interest included music, providing resources for underserved citizens, the criminal justice rehabilitation process, his Native American heritage and African American history. Warren was a major football fan and loyally followed his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He had a fascination and appreciation for fine motor vehicles.

In 1993, Warren married the love of his life, Lee Rozelle-Thomas. Lee and Warren shared a life of love in their 32 years of marriage. They were truly each other’s best friend and enjoyed spending time together, traveling the country and watching their favorite programs. Although Warren was an in-law to the Rozelle family they all loved, respected, treated and embraced him as if he was a biological sibling. His warm personality and mannerisms reflected dignity, courage and doing the right thing was his motto regardless of what others might opine. Warren could contribute to conversations regardless of how insignificant or complicated the subject matter.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Oleta and Warren, Sr., and his sister Roxanne Tolliver. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife Lee, daughter Taylor and a host of family and friends. He will be truly missed by all.
