Waneda Sue Hercules (Skeeter) 10/22/1936 - 02/14/2026
Preceded in death by mother, Margaret Burkhart Landrum, husband David Lee Hercules, and sisters Nina Groeblinghoff, Joyce Valdez, and Esther Cutright.
Survived by sister Almeda (Pudd) Mueller, children, Kim Zender (Mike), Keith Hercules (Trisha), Kari Koor (Andy), Kay Vandeven (Mike), and Kori Bathe. 18 precious grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grands.
Born with a twin in Winfield Missouri into a family of five girls, Skeeter started working at a very early age. She met David Lee Hercules in her early twenties and married him after he returned from service in the Korean War. They had five children and raised them on the property at the corner of the family farm in St. Charles on Jungs Station Road. She worked with her husband to manage Big 4 Sod in later years serving as bookkeeper, and school bus driver, until later moving to reception work at Roosevelt Bank.
Full of life and mischief, Skeeter and David had many friends and were very social. From C&H ballpark to St Charles Lanes bowling to sibling cards nights and so much time spent at the Ozarks, there was always fun to be had.
Skeeter and Dave were active in St. Joseph's church in Cottleville, baking, cooking and serving many church picnics and fall festivals.
Memorials may be made in Waneda's name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
