Wanda Carlita Myers (nee Atchley), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the age of 75. Loving wife of the late Robert “Bob” Myers; beloved daughter of the late Chester Atchley and the late Mamie Etta Crutchfield (nee: Vandemark); devoted mother of Shelia (Dean) Purdy, Richard "Rick" (Jean) Calvert, and Christopher (Rocio) Myers; stepmother of Bob Myers, Mike Myers, Dan (Gerry) Myers, Lisa Muehlberger, and Richard (Barb) Myers; cherished grandmother of thirteen and great-grandmother of four; dear sister of Howard Atchley and Kenneth Atchley. Wanda is also preceded in death by her sister, Janotra Huerner.
Wanda was a selfless and very caring woman who touched the lives of many around her. She served and volunteered with the VFW following Bob’s death. Wanda was an amazing country cook and was happy to share her knowledge. Some of her signature dishes were chicken & dumplings and chuck roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. Wanda enjoyed playing spades and spending time catching up with family. She was an incredibly hard worker and instilled that in her kids; some may even say she had a bit of an iron fist when it came to responsibility and integrity. Many may remember her smiling face from her time with Sobel’s Department Store in St. Louis or later on at Kohl’s in St. Charles. She gave her life to Jesus in the last year and would spend time in prayer with her family each day. Wanda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Wanda's name to Mercy Hospice.
