Walter "Walt" Main

Walter Lloyd Main of Foley, MO, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Norma Main; devoted son of the late Dale Jasper and Irene Main; cherished father of Tim (Marty Hamilton) Main and Kim (Ed ) Tobiasz; loving grandfather of Alison Main, Anna Main, Eva Main, TJ Main, Ashley (Jeremy) Barron, Amber (Matthew) Sprock, Autumn Tobiasz, Angela Tobiasz, Nick Bergman, and Thomas Bergman ; treasured great-grandfather of Hunter, Easton, Julia, Kase, Clara, Abby, Emma, Jasper, Layla, Brooklynn, Atlas, and Auora; dear brother of the late Jack (Lila) Main and Connie (Marvin) Dixon.

Walter, affectionately known as Walt, was a dedicated firefighter for 28 years and a proud Air Force veteran, having served four years on active duty and two years in the reserves. He was married to his beloved wife, Norma, for 60 years, and together they shared a love for their family. They also enjoyed DJing,  camping and boating with friends.  Walt was a witty, friendly man who stayed busy with hobbies like woodworking and karaoke—so much so that he and Norma even had a professional karaoke machine for their lively karaoke parties. Known for his great laugh and warm smile, he was a lifetime member of Am Vets and was dearly loved by all who knew him. Walter will be greatly missed.

Memorials may be made in Walter's name to The BackStoppers Inc. or Missouri's National Veterans Memorial in Perryville MO.
