Walter "Carl" Jordan, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the age of 80. Well-known for his infectious humor, Carl had a knack for brightening any room with his ever-present smile, spreading joy to all who knew him. With a zest for life, he embraced each day with a "live life to the fullest" attitude, often remarking that "every day is a good day, some are just better than others."

Loving husband of 48 years to Kathy Jordan; beloved son of the late George and Edith Jordan; devoted father of Matt Jordan, and Ryan (Jessica) Jordan; cherished PawPaw of Willow Jordan and Ivy Jordan; dear brother of Manny (Joanie) Jordan; uncle, great uncle, cousin, and loyal friend to many. He spent his retirement teaching skilled trades classes at Lewis and Clark Technical School.

A man of many skills, he was always busy with a household project, finishing a basement or building a playhouse. He was readily available to lend a hand or a tool, of which he had many, to anyone who needed it, and could always be relied upon for help. Carl was an avid reader of history, biographies and current events, always searching for knowledge and truth. He loved history and over the years has traveled to see the historical sites including his most recent visit to France and the beaches of Normandy. Alongside his various pursuits, he enjoyed playing basketball and had a passion for the sport, always in the stands cheering on local high school teams in the area and rooting for the Mizzou Tigers. Fondly known as “Wally” to his sons’ friends, Carl welcomed everyone into his home, earning titles like “Second Dad” and “Bonus Grandpa” from many. Carl leaves behind a legacy of deep affection and friendships providing lasting memories to all who loved him.
