Walter A. Hahn, age 87, of Bridgeton, Missouri, died September 13, 2008. He was born on May 5, 1921 in St. Louis County, Missouri to August and Dora (Schroeder) Hahn; baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Missouri, on May 7, 1921, by Rev. Julius Friedrich; confirmed on Palm Sunday, April 14, 1935. Walter was a loving husband to Bernice (Pilgrim) Hahn for nearly 67 years. They were married on October 25, 1941 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Missouri, by Rev. Frederic Niedner. He leaves his wife, Bernice A. Hahn, one son, Jerry W. (June) Hahn, of Bridgeton, Missouri; one daughter, Charlene A. (Charles) Freeman; five grandchildren, Rick (Stacey) Freeman, Tina (Hank) Mathes, Chad Freeman, all of Black, Missouri, and Jeffrey and James Hahn, of Bridgeton, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Haylee and Owen Freeman and Vince and Nolan Mathes; three nephews, Dale (Jean) Hahn, William (Judy) Hahn and Donald (Gail) Hahn; three nieces, Joyce Wakefield, Betty (Ernie) Schroeder and Nancy (Hahn) Vestal; one aunt, Clara Flood, and a host of friends. Mr. Hahn was a truck farmer and a carpenter. He was also a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Charles, MO.
