Virginia Johnson (nee Kurtzeborn), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late John Aloysius Johnson Jr.; beloved daughter of the late August and Norine Kurtzeborn; dear sister of Mary Rose Lane; devoted mother of Mary Fields, Barbara (Harold) Russell, Janet (Daryl) Cordia, Sandy (Harold) Graham, and William (Melissa) Johnson; cherished grandmother of Larry (Alicia) Fields, Dan (Heather) Fields, John (Jackie) Fields, Katie (Eric Schultz) Cordia, Kyle (Jackie) Cordia, Kelly (Jeff) Stroot, Paul (Sarah) Graham, Jennifer (Keith Noah) Graham, Sharon Graham, Brandy (Luke) Thalmann, and Sophia (Nick Rogers) Johnson; treasured great-grandmother of Max Fields, Charlie Fields, Jack Fields, Nathaniel Fields, Auggie Cordia, Evelyn Cordia, Stanley Stroot, Jessie Stroot, Jamison Stroot, Kylie Graham, Brooklyn Graham, Henry Graham, Liam Graham, Beckham Noah, Quinn Noah, Jackson Graham, and Mashall Thalmann; loving aunt and cousin to many. Virginia is also preceded in death by her brother, Robert August Kurtzeborn.
Virginia loved to read anything and everything she could and she enjoyed sewing and teaching her daughters to sew. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Virginia was a devout Catholic and adored the Virgin Mother Mary. She liked to travel and she and her husband, John, took many trips with her church group. Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Virginia 's name to SSM hospice, American Lung Association.
