Virginia Ginnie Gierten

Gierten, Ginnie, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the age of 76. Loving wife of John E. “Jack” Gierten; dear daughter of the late Charles Glenn and Mabel Rose; devoted mother of Mike Gierten, Susan Pratt, and John (Jill) Gierten; cherished grandmother of Randy (Shannon) Smith, Jr., Corey Gierten, and Grant Gierten; dear sister of Janet Powers, Glenn Rose, and Eugene Rose. Beloved aunt, cousin, sister in law, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her sisters Laverne Trampe and Gloria Tevis. She was employed as a Business Office Director at SSM St. Joseph Hospital for 25 years before she retired and was a member of McDonnell Douglas camping club and her neighborhood bingo club. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children’s Hospital or St. Jude's.
