Virginia Albers

March 2, 1921 — October 16, 2021

Virginia Albers of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the age of 100.  Loving wife of 63 years to the late Warren H. Albers, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Bridget and James Bates; devoted mother of Warren “Duke” Albers, Jr; cherished mother-in-law of Kathy Albers; treasured grandmother of Matthew Albers, and the late Michael and Christopher Albers, her twin grandsons.  She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Virginia retired after more than 35 years with Southwestern Bell as an accounting clerk.  Upon retirement she and her husband volunteered with the USO.  She enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to visiting her dear friends in Montana.

Always a social butterfly, Virginia made friends wherever she went, and she enjoyed many great friendships throughout her life.  She was always so very kind and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for a friend. She was truly the salt of the earth and enjoyed 100 years of great health!

Virginia enjoyed reading her newspaper every day. She was an amazing cook, and she was famous for her fantastic fried chicken, pineapple upside-down cake, which was to die for, and her peach cobbler.  She was dearly loved and will missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Virginia's name to the United Service Organizations (USO).
