Violet M. Strouse, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the age of 82. Loving wife of the late Robert E. Strouse; dear daughter of the late Joseph and Fleta Gmeiner; devoted mother of Robert William Strouse and Loire (Hank) Kroeger; cherished grandmother of Angela (Kevin) Meyers, Melissa (Jason) Gardner, and Alyse Brock; treasured great-grandmother of Jason Gardner, Jr., Gwendolyn McGuire, and Madison Gardner. She is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Gmeiner.
Violet was a member of the Missouri Extension Club-High Hopes, Women's Group at St. John's, and a volunteer with FISH. Nevertheless, her greatest passion in life was her family.
