Verona “Ronie” M. Kampmann

Verona "Ronie" M. Kampmann (nee Burkemper), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at the age of 83. Loving wife of 53 years to the late Cletus "Clete" Kampmann; beloved daughter of the late F.C. and Theresa Burkemper; devoted mother of Margaret "Margie" (Mark) Kuberski, Cletus (Maryanne) Kampmann, and Julieann (Dennis) Willis; proud grandmother of Katie (Sean) McCarthy, Brian Kuberski, Joe Kampmann, Christine Kampmann, Kayla Willis, and Kimberly Willis; cherished great-grandmother of Issabella McCarthy, Riley McCarthy, and Myla Sanders; treasured sister of Dorothy Vomund and Rosie Cox; and dear sister-in-law of Jack Sparks. She was also a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Urbie Burkemper, Ralph Burkemper, Agnes Sparks, Mary Ann Liffick, and Carol Ann Burkemper.

Ronie was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and The Borromeo Ladies Sodality. She was also a member of Orchard Farm VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Ronie loved watching and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff who lovingly cared for their mother on the third floor of St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
