Vernon “Vern” Meyer, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of 33 years to Kathy Meyer; cherished son of the late Vernon and Helen Meyer. Devoted father of Angie (Tyler) Nuske, Jake Meyer, and Olivia Meyer; adoring grandfather of Kaia Nuske; dear brother of Greg (Lisa) Meyer and the late Denise Ringo; dear uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
Vern was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and took part in numerous tournaments, finding a deep sense of peace in nature. Known as a jokester, Vern was always hamming it up and loved making others smile, ensuring there was never a dull moment, often delivering one liners, a dad-joke, or sporting a funny face. He cherished his place at Mark Twain Lake where he often went boating, fishing, and loved the community he had there who knew him for his “Vernscope”. Vern was also famous for his grilling, especially his “World-Famous” pork steaks. He enjoyed Wii bowling, competitive games of washers, and was fiercely enthusiastic about sports, supporting his children in their many events. A proud Pattonville alum, Vern supported the school’s football and wrestling teams. He was known for his witty back-and-forth and strong will, but above all, he was deeply proud and devoted to his family. He adored his granddaughter and would do anything for her. Vern was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Vern's name to MO Vets Outdoors.
