Vera May Jones

Vera May Jones (nee Sherrill), of Florissant, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late Leslie P. Jones; beloved daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Sherrill; devoted mother of Darlene (Noel) Rister; cherished grandmother of Steven (Vicki) Jones, Stephanie (Dave) Hall, Timothy (Susan) Rister, LeighAnn Kombrink, and Leslie (Craig) Herweck; treasured great-grandmother of Ryan (Susan) Jones, Tyler Jones, Melanie Jones, Amanda Kombrink, Kyle Kombrink, Nicholas Rister, Bridget Hall, Courtney Hall, Danielle Hall, Kendall Herweck, and Clayton Herweck. Vera is also preceded in death by her son, John Paul Jones; brothers, H. L. Sherrill, Benjamin Sherrill; and sister, Edith Young.

Vera was a member of the Eastern Star. She liked reading and working on puzzles. Vera loved her family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with them and cooking for them. Vera and her husband Leslie enjoyed traveling together. Vera was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
