Jo-Ann Lesinski

Jo-Ann V. Lesinski (born Starkey) of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at the age of 83. Loving wife of Frank P. Lesinski, Sr. for 59 years; beloved daughter of Vera Starkey, (born Gmachl); Sister to William H. Starkey II and Norma (born Leeds) of Joplin; loving mother and stepmother to Jeffrey D. Lesinski, Frank Lesinski Jr. (Maureen), Theresa (Len) Williams, Louis (Julie A.) Lesinski; and Richard (Jeanine) Lesinski; former mother-in-law to Julia V. Griffin; cherished grandmother of Ava Wrightsman, Matthew Lesinski, Jill Blackson, Scott Lesinski, Todd Lesinski, Brett Lesinski, Nicole Hays, Brandy Lesinski, Richard Lesinski Jr., Steven Johnson, Andy Lesinski, and Rachel Lesinski; treasured great-grandmother to several; beloved family friend of Ed (Patti) Engle. She is preceded in death by her loving husband and her brother.

She retired from the cooperating school district in 2005 after working as a television scheduler from 20 years. Prior she worked as cafeteria supervisor in the Ritnour school district from 1967 to 1985. Her first job was working as a telephone operator at South Western Bell when she was 15 years old. She also was a dedicated chapter mother for Walt Disney DeMolay and proxy junior warden of Magnolia Euclid Lodge for many years. After retirement she volunteered for the Franklin County Silver game and was a volunteer grandma in the Union/Washington area. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and creating holiday magic for her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
