Vanessa K. Ickenroth

Vanessa Kay Ickenroth (nee Thomas), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the age of 71. Cherished daughter of the late Olen and May Deane Thomas; devoted mother of Shane Ickenroth; dear sister of the late Olen "Bud" Thomas, the late Carol Hardesty-Helton, and the late John “Joker” Thomas; sister-in-law of Deborah Thomas and the late Loretta “Lori” Thomas; treasured aunt of the late Scott Ramsey, the late Thomas W. Hardesty II and the late Jacqueline “Jacquie” Murdock; great-aunt of Robyn O'Laughlin, Kelley L. (Michael) Kettlehake, Aaron C. (Kimberly) Thomas, Zachary D. Ramsey, Jessica M. (Dustin) Goodwin, Jennifer M. Hardesty, Thomas W. Hardesty III, and Garrett J. Hardesty.

Vanessa loved her dog and was a quiet person who lived a simple, peaceful life. She enjoyed traveling and especially cherished the time she spent visiting her family in Dixon. One of her favorite traditions was attending the annual family reunions in Greenville, Missouri, where she loved seeing and spending time with her family each year.

Vanessa was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her quiet presence, kind spirit, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Memorials may be made in Vanessa's name to Alzheimer's Association or Humane Society of Missouri.
