V. Irene Hampton

Hampton, V. Irene, of St.   Charles, Missouri, died on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Charles A. Hampton; beloved daughter  of the late William and Beulah Thorn; devoted mother of C. Darrell (Pally) Hampton; cherished grandmother of Gina (Hampton) Morton, Kelly (Fletcher) Dietrich, Bill (Kathy) Hampton, Jr., Tracy (Chris) (Hampton) Bernard, Kristi Fletcher, Dawn Hampton, Dione (Ben) (Hampton) Anderson, and Curtis (Julie) Hampton; treasured great-grandmother of Shay Jenkins, Adie Morton, Dani Morton, Kian Morton, Hannah Dietrich, Fletcher Dietrich, Maxwell Dietrich, Ashlee Hampton, Felicia Hampton, Miranda Hampton, Lia Burkemper, Jaxon Bernard, Brandon Bernard, Cameron Rivera, Victoria Rivera, Alex Rivera, Marleigh Anderson, Collin Anderson, Nicholas Fletcher, Benjamin Fletcher, Devyn Hampton, Daeyah Hampton, and Taj Hampton; dear great-great grandmother of William Liam, Warren, and Ryland; dear sister of Donald (Shirley) Thorn, Rayda Moore, and sister-in-law of Cathy Thorn. She is preceded in death by her children Brenda Joyce (Hampton) Fletcher and William Dean Hampton, her grandson Kevin Fletcher, and her siblings Pauline Shearer, Walter "Bud" Thorn, Raymond Thorn, Bonnie Stoner, and Ronald Thorn.
Irene was a member of RidgecrestBaptistChurch; she enjoyed playing skipbo, and working crossword puzzles. Irene cherished life, family, and friends. She will be missed by her loved ones but remembered with a smile.
