Trudy Rose Giancola (Lindsay), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and trailblazer, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, in O'Fallon, MO.

Born October 25, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, to Floyd C. and Rose M. Lindsay (Coudy). Trudy was loving, brave, funny, devoted, and determined. Trudy was proud to be the first woman to serve as a firefighter in Ferguson, Missouri, earning the respect of her brother firefighters and leading the way for those who would follow in her dream of serving their community.

But to those who knew her best Trudy was so much more than that. She was the most loving mother. She raised two children on her own, always putting their needs before her own. Trudy was a generous volunteer, donating her time at the USO, the Albert Pujols Center, and FZSD.

Her grandchildren Alexa Kent (Spencer), Trey Miller (Katie), Olivia Jackon (Daniel Yelovich) and Lily Jackson. Her Great Grandchildren Blair and Remi Kent. Trudy was excitedly anticipating the arrival of 2 more Great Grandchildren, Luka Yelovich and Kennedy Miller. Trudy is also survived by her siblings Joy McCarthy, David Lindsay (Pat), and Debbie Leone. She was a loving aunt to 6 nieces, 2 nephews. Proceeding her in death are her parents Floyd and Rose Lindsay, Brothers-in Law Patrick McCarthy and Mark Leone. Trudy was blessed in life with a best friend of 35 years, Nancy Mann and "The Village" who carried each other through many hard times.
