Troy Steven Biernbaum of Foristell, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 37. Cherished son of Steve and Sherry Biernbaum; beloved grandson of Philip and Joan Kaiser, Joy and Bob Stafford and the late Lou Biernbaum; dear brother to Kyle (Heather) Biernbaum, Brett Biernbaum, Eric (Alex) Biernbaum and Sarah (Tyler) Rupp. Proud uncle to Emmett, Jaxson, Naomi, Finn, Ollie, Piper, Carson, Jack, Ryan and Cameron. Devoted Nephew to Mike and Phyllis Kuckelman, Kevin and Vikki Foster, Phil and Kathy Kaiser, Scott and Lori Biernbaum, Brian and Chris Biernbaum and Mark and Carol Biernbaum. Beloved Cousin and friend to many.
Troy was an influencer. He used his wheelchair as a pulpit to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all that would listen. He was most impactful as a witness for the hands and feet of Jesus, since his hands and feet did not work. One of his favorite Bible verses was: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Troy was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A muscle wasting disease that took his ability to walk by age 12 and took almost every muscle function, by 2026. He loved his St. Louis Cardinals, getting to throw out a 1st pitch at age 11. He loved his Mizzou Tigers, St. Louis Blues and most recently, St Louis SC. Troy showed his competitive side on the Power Wheelchair Soccer court, where he traveled the country for many years, with his DASA Dynamites team.
Despite the challenges with his wheelchair, he especially enjoyed social times with his many friends and family that would take him out on the town.
Above all, Troy cherished his family. He loved family holiday gatherings wherever they were held. He loved a good glass of bourbon with his Uncle Phil, his mamma's homemade potato salad and late-night holiday chats with his Uncle Scott. Troy's greatest pride and joy was his family, who supported him and loved him unconditionally, every day of his battle.
Troy was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
