Toni Rae Smith

Toni Rae Smith, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at the age of 68. Toni was the beloved daughter of the late David and Edna (Chitwood) Smith. She was a devoted and deeply loving mother, survived by her two daughters, Jessica (Landon) Williams and Kaitlyn (Parker Terry) Louis. She proudly held her title as “Nana” to her first grandson, James Williams. She adored her sister Judy (the late Richard) Fahrner, along with her brothers, the late Eddie Smith, the late Steve Smith, and the late David Smith.

Toni had the biggest heart and lit up every room with her joyful laugh and bright smile. She loved everyone deeply with a constant, positive, unwavering spirit that left you feeling unconditionally loved. She welcomed you as you were, and cherished every moment. She was always thinking about her two daughters, sister, and “sweet baby James.” She was a lifelong friend to many who she valued and deeply cared about, along with her pride and joy of her puppers & their families through her dog business. She was a patient and loyal friend who welcomed everyone she met with open arms and a full heart.

To be known by Toni was to be loved. She always put others first, no matter how long you knew her, and was the most hard working and caring woman you'd ever meet. She spent her life supporting her girls, and was there for them no matter what, putting what they needed above all else.

 She always cared for animals, even as a young child, which became a lifelong passion as a veterinarian technician, where she dedicated 50 years towards serving animals & their families. She always went above and beyond in her work. This later transitioned into creating her own business, “Doggie Daycare & Sleepovers,” where she loved puppers & their families as her very own.

Toni was always a bright and joyful light, and her life is an example to many. She made her girls into who they are today, and many friends and family will carry a piece of her with them for years to come. She led by example, showing those around her the importance of patience, kindness, laughing, smiling, and loving wholeheartedly. Toni was more of a blessing that she will ever know, and there was no one like her. We thank you for being a part of her life and pray that you will carry her legacy on with you for years to come.
