Timothy “Matt” Cooper

Cooper, Timothy “Matt”, of Wentzville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the age of 34.  Matt passed away from natural causes following many years of struggle and pain after being wounded in Afghanistan in 2009. Beloved son of Tim and Robin Cooper; dear brother of Justin (Sirena) Cooper and Logan (Nicole Horn) Cooper; loving uncle of Catalina and Blake. Matt is also a dear cousin, nephew, and friend to many.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Pauline Morgan and Frances and Rose Cooper, and uncles Max Morgan, Wayne Morgan, and Jim Morgan.

Matt proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he achieved the rank of Captain. Matt served a tour in Afghanistan and received a Purple Heart. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and cooking, also spending time with his dogs “Scooby” and “Ike.” Most of all, he loved being with his family.
