Timothy L. Stout

Stout, Timothy L., son of Frances Lou Funderburk and Samuel Philemon Stout, passed away, Monday, March 5, 2012 at his home. Born on July 11, 1947, he attended elementary school in Rochester, Illinois. He was a graduate of Kemper Military Academy and attended the University of Illinois where he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1971. Tim practiced veterinary medicine for 36 years of which the last seventeen were at North County Animal Clinic. He was a past officer of Omega Tau Sigma professional fraternity and past officer in the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Society. Although spending time with his family was always his primary focus, Tim was also interested in nature, farming, gardening, and hiking. Later he combined his interests in photography with capturing images of the outdoors. He was a member of the St. Louis Camera Club and chaired the Nature committee. Tim also held a private pilot's license for many years and enjoyed flying. As a member of St. Peter Parish in St. Charles, Tim was involved in RCIA and Special Projects for the Parish. He previously served on Parish Council and School Board at St. Angela Merici Church in Florissant, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Philemon Stout and Frances Lou Funderburk, and one brother, Samuel Robert Stout. Tim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Jean Stout NEE: Mang; three daughters, Gina (Brian) Linhoff, Ellen (Marcus) Acuna, and Amy Stout; one granddaughter, Maria Elizabeth Linhoff; a niece, Ellen (Dan) Groce; a great-nephew, Louis Groce and two great-nieces, Molly Groce and Samantha Groce. Memorials may be made to Masses or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
