Timothy Joseph Maassen

March 17, 1948 — January 31, 2022

Timothy Joseph Maassen, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of 52 years to Gayle V. Maassen; devoted father of Mark (Laurie) Maassen, Heather (Bill) Wichlan, Matthew (Betsy) Maassen and Michael Maassen; loving grandfather of Alex, Josie, Sadie, Charlotte, Raegan and Kate; dear brother of Bonnie (Ken) Seitz, Greg (Yung) Maassen, Sue (Tom) Orso, Jim (Rhonda) Maassen and Mike (Lisa) Maassen; Timothy is an uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many.

Tim proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a devout catholic and attended St. Gianna Catholic Church for over 16 years. Tim dedicated many years to McDonnell Douglas and later retired from IBM. In his free time, Tim traveled all over the world and he especially enjoyed going on cruises and trips to Hawaii. He also loved playing racquetball with friends and spending time working in his yard. Those who knew and loved him will always remember his ability to light up the room with his smile and signature laugh, his willingness to always lend a hand, his upbeat energy and attitude and his dedication to God, Country, and Family. Tim was a great man, who led by example, and his legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family.

Memorials may be made in Tim's name to The ALS St. Louis Regional or St. Gianna Catholic Church.

Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
