Timothy A. “Tim” Dodge, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 52. Loving husband of 26 years to Susie Dodge; beloved son of Ronald Dodge Sr. and the late Verna Dodge; devoted father of Kayla Dodge and Kevin Dodge; dear brother of Ron (Jan) Dodge, Jr., Joe (Judy) Dodge, Dave (Gail) Dodge and the late infant sister Kathleen Marie Dodge. Tim is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Cindy (Charlie) Knight and Trish (Dave) Gentili, and his mother-in law, Carol (the late Bob) Lammert. He was a dear nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Tim was a true outdoors man, starting at a young age with the Boy Scouts, he took to camping and fishing with his dad right beside him. Later in life, he looked forward to spending time with his family at their “campground” at The Woods at Edgar Springs, where he could take on his real role as the “Grill Master.” He also traveled around the country with his family to various campsites, including Yellowstone, Big Horn Mountain, Estes Park, and Colorado Rocky Mountain Park. Tim was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his family throughout the years. He also took many trips with all the Dodge boys to hang out in the boat and go camping and fishing.
Tim was a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, and was so thrilled when the Blues won the Stanley Cup. He spent many summers with his son playing baseball in the backyard. He enjoyed tending to his garden every summer with his daughter Kayla. He was a fun-loving and all-around happy guy who loved being the karaoke master and getting the party started. He was known as “Uncle Barney” when he sang the beloved Purple Barney songs to his niece, Crystal. He was an awesome son-in-law and was good at making turkeys with his mother-in-law. He loved cars, midnight rides and 4-wheeling. Tim was truly caring and loved animals, especially his dogs. He was also freakishly good at trivia. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
