Thomas "Tom" L. Hartenbach

Thomas “Tom” L. Hartenbach, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Mary Jean Hartenbach; cherished son of the late William John and Dorothy Marie Hartenbach; devoted father of Tom Hartenbach, Michael (Christy) Hartenbach, Christine (Mark) Maynard; loving grandfather of Madison Hartenbach, Grant Hartenbach, Phillip Hartenbach, Dylan Maynard, and Cole Maynard; dear brother of Rev. William Hartenbach, C.M, Nancy (the late Tom) McCue, and the late Honorable James (the late Graciela) Hartenbach; faithful four-legged companion, Charlie.

Tom proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of VFW Post # 5651, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church New Melle, Mo, a Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 11656, St. Vincent De Paul Society, and the Legion of 1000 Men, in partner with the Pink Sisters.

Tom worked in the trucking industry and retired from Consolidated Freightways.

Having celebrated his 80th birthday just days earlier, Tom joined his siblings in their "80 club”. He and Mary Jean, his loving wife, shared 55 years of marriage.  Tom enjoyed simple pleasures such as fishing and watching birds on his many feeders. His home was always open to family and friends.  His greatest joy was his family.  Tom was a very Faith filled man; He was ready to go to his Heavenly Home.  Through Tom, his children saw God. Thomas was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tom's name to The ALS Association or The Humane Society or St. Vincent De Paul Society at Immaculate Heart Of Mary New Melle, Mo.
