Thomas Joseph Burkhart

Thomas Joseph Burkhart, age 81, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jean (nee Cissell), dear father of Jennifer (Christian) Mikkelsen and Ann (Clinton) Cole, grandfather of Tyler and Katelyn Mikkelsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Elsie, his in-laws, Virgil and Virginia Cissell, his sister Joan Weissert and his brothers Edward, Donald, Jack and Robert; brothers-in-law, Daniel Cissell, Bob Weissert, sister-in-law Judy Burkhart and niece Rebecca Burkhart. He is survived by his brother, Jim Burkhart.

Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and dear friend.

Visitation at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs will be held on July 9, from 4-7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on July 10, at 10 am, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, immediately followed by interment at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
