Thomas A Rimert

Rimert, Thomas A. of Lake St. Louis, MO, died on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Arlene Rimert; cherished son of the late Fred and Alice Rimert; devoted father of Lisa (Jim) Highfill, Peter (Jerianne) Rimert, Joseph Rimert, and Jon (Karen) Rimert; loving grandfather of Becky (Cory) Norton, Andrea Shephard, Jacob Rimert, J.T. (Nicole) Highfill, Hailey (Ben) Kintz, Sam Highfill, Allen (Terri) Rimert, Kayla Rimert, Periann Rimert, Shana (Vince) Drmacich, Jon Curtis Rimert, and Marlana Rimert; treasured great-grandfather of 13. Tom is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Allen Rimert; brother, Fred Rimert; and granddaughter, Jessica Rimert.

Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church for over 50 years. He was also an active member of the All Saints Council of Knights of Columbus (4^th Degree Honor Guard) in both St. Peters, MO and Arizona; Carpenters Union Local 2119 for 55 years and an officer in the Local for 35 years; was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America (on district and council levels) and had 3 sons who were Eagle Scouts; and the National Square Dancers club. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, and camping. Most of all, he loved being with his family. Tom was a great man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
