Therese "Terry” A. Potts

Therese “Terry” A. Potts (nee Cook), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the age of 85. Loving wife of the late John J. Potts; beloved daughter of the late Mary I. and Cecil A. Cook; devoted mother of Michelle R. (Jim) Anderson, Therese L. (Scott) Jorgenson, and William J. (Stacey) Potts; dear sister of Betty Pratt, and Kathy Potts; cherished grandmother of Paul (Chelsea), Kyle, Caleb, Cody, Alex (Amber), Elise, Daniel, Andrew (Majesta), and Alyson; treasured great-grandmother of Zoe, Hallie, Grady, Cameron, and Theodore. Terry is also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Terry devoted 28 years of her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital, where her compassion, dedication, and strong work ethic made a lasting impact. After her retirement, she continued to fill her days with the hobbies and people she loved.

Terry enjoyed playing cards and mahjong, relaxing with a good book, and spending time on her counted cross-stitch projects. She also loved watching television and movies, especially anything related to Star Trek, which held a special place in her heart.

A social and spirited person, Terry thrived in the company of her friends. She had a vibrant personality, loved being the center of attention, and was never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in. Deeply devoted to her family, she cared for them with the same strength and loyalty she brought to every part of her life.

Terry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Terry's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
