Terry Stroud

Terry A. Stroud, of St. Charles, MO passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Rita Stroud; cherished son of the late Harland and Loretta (Griesenauer) Stroud; devoted father of Dana (Eric) Sachtleben, and Amanda (Shane) Rasch; loving grandfather of Chase, Brady, Colton, Savannah, and Mia; dear brother of Mike (the late Linda) Stroud, Nick (Sandy) Stroud, and the late Vickie Kersting; dear uncle and cousin, and adored friend to many.

Terry grew up in O’Fallon, MO and attended Assumption grade school, St. Dominic High School and Lindenwood University. He enjoyed the beach, fishing and all sports, but his love for golf surpassed them all. Whether playing in Hilton Head, SC or his annual Rend Lake trip, his favorite place to be was out on the golf course. Sports were always a part of Terry’s life as he met his loving and devoted wife, Rita, at a softball game. Terry deeply cherished Rita, not only as a wife, but also for her unwavering care, strength, and support she showed him through life’s most difficult days. Together they would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on July 7.

His passion for sports naturally led him to coach many of his daughters’ various teams, and as they grew older, he proudly became their biggest supporter on the sidelines. He was a dedicated and loving “girl dad” who made his daughters feel treasured every single day through his constant love, guidance, and encouragement. Later in life, his greatest joy was becoming “Papa” to five wonderful grandchildren, a role he embraced wholeheartedly. While his hugs and kisses will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the memories he created will be cherished forever.
