Teressa Elizabeth Neal (nee King), 90 years old, of St. Charles, Missouri; born in Lyndora, PA on March 28, 1935, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Elizabeth King, one sister, Ethel Garstecki, and her husband, Allen. She is survived by her son, Allen (Joy Gardner) Neal, her daughters Patty Neal and Connie (Don) Muehling; 5 Grandchildren: Alex Neal, David Gilliam, Thomas (Angel Truong) Gilliam, Carrie Gilliam, and Scott Gilliam; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Summer, Sky, and Tyler Gilliam, Cain and Courtney Gomer; sister Marianne Nulph and brother Steve (Debbie) King; a great number of sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews.
Teressa loved music and was a member of the Lyndora Drum and Bugle Corps in high school. She learned to play the piano during those years. She graduated from Butler High School in 1953.
Soon after graduating, she met the love of her life, Allen W. Neal, and became engaged. She was separated from Allen during his time in the United States Airforce, but upon his return they married and moved to St. Louis. Teressa started working at Sears when Northwest Plaza opened in 1965. She worked for Sears for 22 years. During this time, she raised 3 children.
Teressa enjoyed the monthly Card Club with the neighborhood ladies, as well as weekend camping trips with her family. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and reading. Her faith in God was very important to her. She finished her working career at Mercy Hospital as a lead housekeeper in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This is where her true calling as a loving, compassionate, and devoted worker was revealed. Teressa radiated love, compassion, and support to the babies, parents, and nursing staff. She not only did her job well, but she also went above and beyond to help those around her.
During her retirement years after her husband passed in 2002, she enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, yardwork, and beating her family in Scrabble; “7” letter words were her specialty, and she was proud of it! Teressa was smart, generous, faithful, and kind. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
