Suzanne H. “Suzi” Wilson

Wilson, Suzanne H. (Suzi)(nee Predock) passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Walter Wilson for 57 years; loving mother of Larry and Michele Wilson, Shari Wilson Blodgett and Casey Rariden. Beloved Grandmother of Alex and Nicholas Blodgett. Sister of Bill and Lynda Predock, and Jacki and Bob Banker. Along with being a wonderful mother, Suzi was an accomplished illustrator, artist, author, and editor. Suzi's accomplishments include driving in road rallying and automobile racing. She gave maximum effort to every project or activity she took on. When she did it, it was right! Organizations such as TOPS and the St. Louis County Rally Club flourished under her leadership. Suzi and Walt worked as officials at Sports Car of America races at Gateway International raceway. They put on dozens of road rallies for the St. Louis County Rallye Club and Southern Illinois region of SCCA. Suzi was a Cub Scout Den Mother and was deeply involved in school affairs at Orchard Farm during Larry and Shari's education there. She never missed a basketball game or soccer match in which they were players. Her husband, Walt, was Newsletter Editor for the Spirits of St. Louis R/C Flying Club for a total of 19 years and Suzi did a final quality check of the copy and helped prepare more than 30,000 newsletters for mailing during that period. She was a loving, giving, and caring person. Suzi was a special lady who was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
