Susan Kristine Hradek

Susan Hradek (nee Hesse), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Lanny Hradek; cherished daughter of the late Jeanne and Robert Hesse; devoted mother of Kristen (Chad) Volner, and Amy (Adam) Ostroski; loving grandmother of Landon Volner, Lincoln Volner, April Ostroski, Andrew Ostroski, and Austin Ostroski; dear sister of Robert Hesse, Carol Cooper, and Laura Boennighausen.

Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, whose kindness, care, and compassion touched everyone she met. She spent 39 years as a dedicated educator, but found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, traveling to visit loved ones, special holiday traditions, and spending time at the beach with her family. Susan was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Susan’s name to the Humane Society of Missouri.
