Steven William Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven William Smith Sr. of St. Charles, MO, who departed this life on Friday, July 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 67. Steve was born on June 24, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, to Thomas and Doris Smith.

Steve was a dedicated husband to Dollie Smith, his loving wife of 41 years; devoted father to Jennifer (Travis) Heins, Stevie Smith Jr., and Justin (Debbie) Dawson; proud and loving grandfather of Mollie Heins, Brooke Dawson, Brett Antrim, Marcus (Tayler) Antrim, and Sam Antrim; and a dear brother of Harry (Nell) Smith, Susan (Jim) Warsaw, Sandy (John) Schuler, and Stan (Laura) Smith; and a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Steve loved spending quality time with his family. This included his extended group of friends through his go kart racing community. He enjoyed golfing, racing go karts, fishing, and biking down the Katy Trail with Dollie. Steve was a hard and dedicated worker, exemplified by his 20 plus years working for Jim Trenary Auto Group in O’Fallon, MO. Steve was known for his kind and straightforward nature, always helping those in need and teaching the younger ones the skills to carry them forward. He made sure those around him were living life to the fullest, just as he always did.

Steve was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Celebration for Life will be held August 10, 2025, at Old Hickory Golf Course (1 Dye Club Drive, St. Peters, MO 63304) from 1:00-4:00 in the Azealia Room.
