Spencer Lee Stille

Spencer Lee Stille (80), of St. Peters, passed away peacefully at home on February 1, surrounded by family. He was born November 17, 1945. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Wehmeyer) of 60 years, his children Bonna (Darren) Salyer, Alan (Becky) Stille, Ned (Maria) Stille, Michael (Dawn) Stille, Tina (Jamie) Cay, Melissa (Dave) Bello, and Daryl (Chelsea) Stille. He was a proud grandpa to 27 grandchildren, Cary (Melanie) Press, Trista Johnson, Kristen (Jimmy) Frala, Nick Press, Karen Faye Briant, Adam (Machaela) Salyer, Erin Stille, Sheridan (Collin) Temperly, Braden (Rachel) Stille, Amanda Bello, Chuck (Barbara) Stille, Cobi Cay, Aidan Cay, Shelby Stille, Anna (Filemon) Vasquez, Tessa Stille, Kate (Gaven) Rulo, Heather (Dakota) Auffert, Dale Stille, Shea Stille, Sophie Bello, Libby Bello, Carmen Stille, Eric Bello, Kendra Stille, Alison Stille, and Morgan Stille and a cherished great-grandpa to Landen, Terry, Beau, Charlie, Brayla, Eddie, Nova, Nolan, Spencer, Madeline, and Jordan. He is survived by his sister, Marcia (Roger) Huslage and brother, Curtis (Becky) Stille. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Janet Stille.

Spencer was raised in Cave Springs, with a passion for farming. He was a life-long 4-H member and leader. He and Judy were inducted into the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame in 2022. Spencer served on the St. Charles County Fair Board for many years. He was a proud Army veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 313 since 1969 and VFW post 4219. For 41 years, Spencer was employed by Farmers Co-op Elevator in St. Peters. Throughout his life, Spencer enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a life-long passion for the shooting sports. Above all, family gatherings were important to him and very special part of his life. Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Immanual Lutheran School, St. Charles.
